Bernie Madoff and Political Contributions

Bernie Madoff is off to prison for his big Ponzi scheme.Seems like a majority of the media has remianed pretty mum about Madoff's political contributions. I wonder if it's because a majority of his donations went to Democrats including Hillary Clinton, Charles Schumer, Christopher Dodd, and National Abortion Rights Action League.

Usually when big financial scandals like this break the surface, we hear from the media about the political contributions and ties of "the crook"...think Ken Lay and Enron...also think Jack Abramoff...all of who donated to predominantly Republican causes...

Hmmm...

Meghan McCain doesn't like Ann Coulter very much, the Huffington Post reports. USA Today also has the story here

Reactions like those coming from Meghan McCain raise even more curiosity about the direction that the Republican Party is taking. Are Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter the new faces of the GOP?

Interestingly enough, Meghan is also a blogger for the not-so-conservative website The Daily Beast.

In an LA Times piece, Jonah Goldberg offers a look into how President Obama isn't really all that different from his predecesor President George W. Bush.

People seriously need to pay attention to actual politics instead of following someone just because they have a Democrat label or a Republican label is pretty much his point.
