"Republican" National Chairman?

After all the excitement coming out of the Conservative Political Action Conference about a party that wants to get back to it's roots, this seems to be a "great" start. Damage control time for the Republican Party?
GQ Interview is here.

Bernie Madoff and Political Contributions

Bernie Madoff is off to prison for his big Ponzi scheme.Seems like a majority of the media has remianed pretty mum about Madoff's political contributions. I wonder if it's because a majority of his donations went to Democrats including Hillary Clinton, Charles Schumer, Christopher Dodd, and National Abortion Rights Action League.

Usually when big financial scandals like this break the surface, we hear from the media about the political contributions and ties of "the crook"...think Ken Lay and Enron...also think Jack Abramoff...all of who donated to predominantly Republican causes...

Hmmm...

Girl power

Meghan McCain doesn't like Ann Coulter very much, the Huffington Post reports. USA Today also has the story here

Goozy Quote:

"I straight up don't understand this woman or her popularity. I find her offensive, radical, insulting, and confusing all at the same time. But no matter how much you or I disagree with her, the cult that follows Coulter cannot be denied."

Reactions like those coming from Meghan McCain raise even more curiosity about the direction that the Republican Party is taking. Are Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter the new faces of the GOP?

Interestingly enough, Meghan is also a blogger for the not-so-conservative website The Daily Beast.

The Stimulus Madness

“Washington seems consumed in the process argument of bipartisanship, when the rest of the country says they need this bill,” said Nancy Pelosi according to Politico.

I wonder if there are 500 million people who oppose it.
